West End Knitwear Ltd. recognises the need to protect the natural environment. Keeping our environment clean and unpolluted is beneficial to all. We are lucky to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world and it is our responsibility to keep it that way.
All our garments are made from 100% wool, a natural resource and considered an environmentally friendly fibre with many benefits:
We are dedicated to using only ethically sourced yarn.
Our garments are machine knit in sections with little waste. Each garment is individual hand finished to our very high standard.
Any knitted panels that have errors, such as dropped stitches, have the yarn rewound and recovered by our knitters to reduce waste.
Woollen garments need minimal washing due to the natural properties of wool. To keep the garment looking its best, the golden rule is washing the garment as seldom as possible. We recommend what we call “wind-washing”, hanging the garment outside in the air restores freshness.
